All of Vision’s plastic engraving machines come with the ability to engrave and then fabricate the plastic engraving stock. This ability allows the user to engrave multiple plates in one large piece of material. The plastic engraving machine then cuts the plates into the desired dimensions. This can be done with a beveled edge or a non-beveled edge.
Engraving plastic material can be a Lamicoid/engraving stock material, acrylic, Lexan, Phenolic or really any type of plastic or hard plastic material. The software allows easy use for new users. Because the proximity sensor automatically senses the surface of the material, you always get a consistent engraving depth.
One of the popular applications for our plastic engraving machines is ADA/Braille signage. The following bullet points highlight some of the plastic engraving machine features when making ADA/Braille signage:
– The software automatically converts the text into Braille (the Braille is Grade 2 Braille and all of the spacing between the letters and lines are ADA compliant, meaning that whenever you make a sign with a Vision machine you can be confident that it meets all of the federal requirements)
– All of the machines from the 1612 Pro and up come with an auto-Braille process (the machine automatically inserts the rasters into the pre-drilled holes)
– Multiple set-up is also available with ADA/Braille signs (for example if you are making 4” x 4” room number signs, you could do 24 at once on a 1624 Pro)
– The ability to import graphics or geometry from Auto-cad, Corel Draw, Adobe, or just about any type of graphic software
– The ability to import graphics or geometry from Auto-cad, Corel Draw, Adobe, or just about any type of graphic software
– All of the machines come with a proximity sensor, which allows for automatic surface recognition
